Kathleen Gunter, 76, New London

Kathleen Arlene (Hamilton) Gunter, 76, of New London, passed away at her home on October 7th, 2026, from Lewy Body Dementia. She died peacefully with Larry and her girls at her side. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17th at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church near Spicer with Fr. Ron Huberty officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service for Ardyce Strand, 95, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Olivia and Wabasso, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso.

Barbara Ann (Wolf) Freiborg-Benson (aka Grandma Barb) passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at the Olivia Hospital at the age of 87 after a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville with Rev. Joe Steinbeisser as celebrant. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Ric Ziesmer, age 71, of Olivia died on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia with Rev. Joe Steinbeisser as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
