Firearm and muzzleloader hunters who want to harvest antlerless deer in a deer permit area that is designated as antlerless permit lottery must purchase their license by Thursday, Sept. 10.

Hunters who purchase their license by Sept. 10 are automatically entered into the lottery for the DPA they declare.

The Bird Island Bullfrogs 2026 season and state title hopes came to an end over the weekend with a 3-0 loss to the Kimball Express Saturday at the Mini Met in Jordan.
The Bullfrogs threatened to take an early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Shawn Dollerschell worked a one-out walk, and Dylan Gass and Elliott Serbus followed with back-to-back singles to load the bases.
