Minnesota’s minimum compensation rates for transportation network company (TNC) drivers will be adjusted for inflation on Jan. 1, 2027.
A TNC is a company in Minnesota that uses an app to connect passengers to drivers for prearranged rides. A TNC driver is someone who uses their own vehicle to provide a prearranged ride to a passenger through the app.

Minnesotans continue to lead the fight against emerald ash borer (EAB). The invasive insect that tunnels into ash trees causing mortality was first discovered in Minnesota in 2009. Since then, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), with state, federal, and local partners, alongside thousands of Minnesotans have worked to manage this invasive pest.

A Wednesday evening crash on U.S. Highway 212 left two women hurt but stable, with one flown to a Twin Cities hospital and the other taken to Granite Falls, according to information from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Terry and Valerie were both raised in Olivia, where they were married on September 4, 1976, and have made their lifelong home. Together, they raised three children: Tiffany (Andy) Gustaveson of White Bear Lake, MN; Joshua (Toni) Serbus of Minneapolis; and Kassidy (Andrew) Carriger of Mound, MN. They are proud grandparents to Vivienne Gustaveson (9) and Jackson Carriger (5).

On Friday, August 21, Renvilla hosted a “County Fair” celebration for their residents and guests. There was music, games and much good food provided.
